centre stand

After a week off, riding again was refreshing. Control was sharp and the bike, somehow, felt light and nimble. Probably still in early stage, but it feels things started to stick. The experience from spirited driving in cars and tracks definitely benefit my commute riding. Armored leather jacket and pants, full face helmet, gloves and sidi vertigo boots also adds a lot to my confidence. And what made me happiest the most probably was that I at last can put the bike on the centre stand. It was Monday night after I saddled off at home. In addition to usual advice of having both legs on the ground, rocking was the definite trick to success. Boy did I not have a stupid grin on my face. Now I put it on the stand every time. A little show off. ha!

I felt ambitious and adjusted the rear preload (a nob on ABS model), after a few readings on the internet. Added 4 clicks over the 7 at the manufacture setting. Lowered the bike, if at all, but it feels solid, esp on turning. I had mistakenly thought the "Lower" imprint meant lowering the height when it in fact meant lowering the preload. Now it's straightened out.

My commute route has a combination of everything, traffic lights, 4 way stop signs, left/right turns, and up/down hills. No highway (on/off ramp) though. But at my level, it's a pretty good route for my miles. I missed riding last week and almost decided to extend riding to next week. But I need to balance it out and give some love to the car.
