back to basic

Stop. Stopping is the very basic skill when riding 2 wheels, even before turning. Stopping requires good timing, body coordination and balance. Frequent stop-n-go'es on a bike is not comfortable. It takes work on balance, esp on a heavier bike. Remember the rear brake is on the foot. Choosing foot on the ground or foot on the brake can be tricky. Wrong brake while the handle is not straight could result some serious embarrassment. Like all riders, riding is a continuous learning process. Learn something new each ride.
The gas weight turned out no problem. I got used to the weight the first ride on Monday. I don't even notice it. As I ride more, I'm more comfortable doing "de tour", dropped by the ATM and visited carwash for my car. It felt good! Still no restaurants though, I am too bulky to be comfortable.
Communting continues to be very good. Actually riding is. I miss my bike when I see other bikes on the weekend. Feels like bike should become more of my primary ride than secondary. When I come back in 3 months, gonna get the hard saddle bags to make it more practical. I even more unlikely lanesplit with the added width but then it's not a bad thing.
